Options for Weddings Impacted by COVID-19

The team at the Oak Tree are currently focusing on working with our couples whose weddings are taking place over the next few months. We want to ensure that we can continue to provide a wonderful wedding venue whilst responding to the Government’s changing rules and guidelines.

If your wedding is taking place before the end of March 2021 and you are thinking of going ahead, we will try our hardest to answer any questions you have about your wedding planning. The best way to speak to us is to email the team and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

In response to the most recent Government guidance, stating that weddings are now limited to 15 people, The Oak Tree have made the following options available to all couples with a wedding booking up until 31st March 2021.

If your wedding is taking place after March 2021, current government advice only extends for the next six months, so we can only plan on the basis that your wedding will go ahead. We will of course inform you if there are any changes to the guidelines that may affect your wedding date. For now, we suggest you continue with your wedding planning and if you have any questions along the way, feel free to email the team and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

If the current restrictions should change, The Oak Tree reserve the right to change the options available to you.

You can find the latest government guidelines regarding weddings, ceremonies, and receptions on the Government website.

OPTION 1

Continue With Your Original Date

At the full price agreed for your booked date.

Ceremonies and receptions are currently allowed to take place with up to 15 people in attendance. The venue will still be exclusively yours to enjoy for the whole day up until 10pm so you can make the most of the beautiful surroundings and spend quality time with the ones you love.

We have had several amazing intimate weddings take place, and you can be rest assured we will do everything we can to make sure you have an incredible day.

OPTION 2

Ceremony Now, Wedding Day Later

You can choose to have your ceremony on your original date with the relevant Government guidelines in place and postpone your wedding day to a later date.

Your ceremony can take place as planned and you and your guests can stay to capture photographs, enjoy a drink or even an intimate meal with your nearest and dearest before heading home.

You would have the choice of our three new intimate wedding packages for your original date. This would be treated as a new booking and there will be a charge for whichever package you choose.

You can choose another date for your wedding day up until 31st December 2023. This could be in the form of a blessing, renewal of vows, drinks reception, wedding breakfast and evening disco as originally planned. This way, you may even get to wear your dress twice!

Any payments you have already paid will then be transferred to your future reception date.

*This option is only available for couples who have secured a second date for their reception; therefore, the original contract still applies. There may be a price increase depending on which date you choose.

OPTION 3

Choose A Brand New Wedding Date

Postpone your whole wedding and transfer your booking to any available date up to 31st December 2023. We will work with you to explore the perfect new
wedding date for you.
Any venue payments you have already made will be transferred to your new date.

Please note: there may be a price increase depending on which date you choose and your original contract will still apply.

OPTION 4

Wait To Set A Date

We know that this is an uncertain time for many of us at the moment and there may be other concerns in your life too. The Oak Tree understand if you need some time to decide on a new wedding date and can give you the option of postponing your wedding until things are a little more settled.

A voucher will be given for the value of any venue payments already made. You will then have until 31st December 2021 to decide on a new wedding date. Please contact the team to discuss available dates. Your voucher will then be used towards your new wedding date. Dates offered up until 31st December 2023. Please note: there may be a price increase depending on which date you choose.

The voucher is non-transferable and non-refundable. It cannot be exchanged for cash in part or full and is valid for a single transaction only. The voucher will be issued via email and will form a binding contract.

Please note: these options are currently available to couples with wedding bookings up until 31st March 2021 only.

The staff at the Oak Tree want you to know that our main concern is, and always has been, the happiness of our couples. The team are here to help and support you and will do everything we can to make sure your wedding day is right for you.

While we understand that plenty of you will have concerns and questions about your wedding, we are asking for a little patience as we help the many couples with weddings up to 31 March 2021.

Our team are extremely busy and are working reduced hours, with reduced staff, which means that our response time is a little longer than usual, but we are doing all we can to speak to you as soon as possible.
